Crain’s Business Recognizes Dutch Opportunity
The Netherlands has the fifth-largest economy in the eurozone, even though its 2012 tax revenues dropped 9 percent and its GDP contracted.
Its estimated GDP is $770.2 billion, No. 24 in the world, according to the CIA World Factbook.
In 2011, the U.S. imported $33 billion in goods and services from the Netherlands and exported $47.5 billion. Major industries include construction, fishing and microelectronics. It is also part of the Benelux economic union with Belgium and Luxembourg. Read more
